  6. Programme Structure • The programme consists of 8 taught modules including 3-4 level V and 4-5 level VI modules, and a final year project (counted as 3 modules). • Taught over 2 years spanning 4 Semesters and 1 Summer Term • Medium of instruction: English

Minimum Marks for Components of Assessment • All elements must be submitted.  Providing the student achieves an overall result for a module of 40% or above (regardless of individual element scores) they will pass. • This obviously means that it is important to ensure that you make a good attempt at every module. You will not be able to omit an assessment or do very little towards an assessment in the hope that your aggregate mark will give you a pass in the module.

Illness and Other Extenuating Circumstance • Students’ responsibility • Complete the “Claim form for extenuating circumstances” • Third Party Evidence • Submit to SCOPE at least TEN days prior to the appropriate assessment board meeting concerned • Assessment may be deferred if application is deemed acceptable

Academic Dishonesty Examples: - Plagiarism, e.g. copying from printed publications, the web or another student • Misconduct in examination or test - Bribery or attempted bribery - Commissioning If suspected of academic dishonesty: • interviewed and may be required to attend a Disciplinary Committee If found guilty, action will range through - zero mark for the assessment/ examination - failure of the module - expulsion from the module or the award More information to be found in page 15 of the student handbook, or from Staffordshire University Web: http://www.staffs.ac.uk/.
