Results & discrepancies Piemont Grainau Niederösterreich Setting-up of a working team with the involvement of different actors at different levels Outlining of an initiative called "Centomontagne"promoted by Fondazione per la Scuola della Compagnia di San Paolo, in cooperation with Regione Piemonte and Ministry of Education, as call for "Good Experiences" to be received directly from schools in mountain areas in Piedmont creation of expert study groupsextensive minutes of the working goup meetingssetting up of the cultural project “Geological hiking trail” Achieved agreements with 11 interested towns (network youth)Achieved agreements with 2 interested towns (network libraries)Coordination of regional and local authorities and personspreparation and organisation of workshops and education daysHomepage and project logogramsworkshops (local and regional)

Methodology and strategy Piemont Grainau Niederösterreich Analysis of the state of schools peculiarities, priorities, potentialities, existing good practices (Italy and other Alpine countries); Formulation of a first theoretical model of an ‘European school’ feasibility studies including financial, administrative and technical aspects (e.g. check with the current legislation and recent changes, financial requirements and other funding opportunities); Analysis of the Alpi Marittime area in terms of criticisms and potentialities; Definition of an European school’s model applied to the peculiarities of the Alpi Marittime area; Involvement of local key actors involved in the promotion of schools in mountain areas in Piemonte and at a trans-national level (e.g. Principals of local schools, Parco Alpi Marittime, Provincial Educational Office of Cuneo, Mountain Communities, the Italian Alpine Club etc …. ) order is given to a office, to work out an IAP, in which all the single projects will be put togetherThe IAP will be the basis for a widespreaded participation of the inhabitants of GrainauIntegration of the government of Upper Bavaria into this participation process Coordination of interested and involved groupsWorking out of topics and working fieldsImplementation of self-organisation methodologies (local workshops)Setting up of inputs and strategy-know-how (regional workshops)Developement and establishing products and services to create more direct benefit for the participants(education)
