General NMISC issues (1) • NMISC C&BL Amendments were voted on and approved by AdCom • Within RISC and NMISC there is an ongoing effort to re-organize the Joint Oversight Subcommittee (JOS) responsible for NSS/MIC site selection • Elected Vice-chair who becomes chair after 2 years • Post of most recent past chair has been created • 4 elected members (2 each from NMISC and RISC) + 2 appointed by JOS chair • NMISC and RISC chair

General NMISC issues (2) • At the NMISC annual meeting there was a discussion about the quality of abstracts at the NSS/MIC • Joint NMISC and RISC sub-committee is looking into this issue • Effort to have sub-program chairs within MIC to better coordinate and help the MIC Program chair • There was also a discussion about the idea of splitting TNS into two parts (A and B) in order to get indexed in Medline • General show of hands showed 6 in favor, 6 need more info., and 0 against

Medical Imaging Conference status and plans • 2013, Seoul, Korea: Hee-Joung Kim is General Chair; Jae Sung Lee will be the MIC Program Chair • Web site is up and running • Abstract submission deadline is May 13, 2013 • 2014, Seattle, WA: Tony Lavietes is General Chair; Georges El Fakhri will be the MIC Program Chair • 2015, San Diego: VesnaSossiis the General Chair • 2016, Strasbourg, France: Maxim Titov will be General Chair • 2017: Site selection is underway
