Effective Solution for Vacuum Pump Expansion Joint Sealing Issues

The designed expansion joint addressed vibration problems in a vacuum pump, but it failed to maintain a proper vacuum at the sealing surface. To enhance the joint's effectiveness, two dovetail grooves were integrated into the face of each flange. This innovation allowed for a better seal placement, successfully completing the joint design and fulfilling all customer requirements. The solution not only improved performance but also ensured reliability in the vacuum system.
