  1. Mars , the God of War! • By: Mrs. Bridge’s Example

  2. Story Dedication I dedicate this mythical story of Mars to Jax because he is the most awesome son and he loves my cheesy science projects!

  3. There once was a beautiful Goddess named Juno. She is the Queen of all Roman and Greek Goddesses. Everyone thought she was the most gorgeous of all the Gods.

  4. Juno loved to walk in fields of flowers. She always walked in a field that had the most vibrant colors. She would only walk in a field as lovely as she was.

  5. One day, as Juno walked through her beautiful field she came upon the most extraordinary plant. It was magical.

  6. When she picked the magical plant she became pregnant.

  7. She gave birth to a boy. She called him Mars, God of War. His name fit because he was an amazing warrior. He like to fight all of the time. He was asked to leave his home, Olympus. Olympus was the home to all powerful Gods.

  8. Mars started his search for a new place at the Sun. But it was too hot. He jumped to the next planet, then the next one, then the next one, then finally found one he liked. Mars, the God of War, moved to his own planet. He named it after himself.

  9. The God of War, practiced his warrior training on Mars. He speared the ground with his magical weapon. Lightening and fire blasted from the hole.

  10. He wrestled with other warriors. These powerful Gods made craters, canyons, and mountains on the planet surface.

  11. Of course the most powerful warrior would create the biggest mountain and volcano in the entire solar system. He called it Olympus Mons to remind him of his home. Olympus Mons is the largest mountain in the Solar System rising 24 km (78,000 ft.) high
