  1. Book Trailer Click Sheet Go to my teacher website for: click sheetgrading rubricblank color pagesand more…

  2. Make a folder in your H:Drive • Go to My Computer • Click on your H:Drive • Create a New Folder and title it:Book Trailer Project • This is where you will save all ofyour resources for this project.

  3. Prep for Attributions Page • This is kind of like your credits page • For every picture you use, you will provide a descriptionof the picture and the web link. • Open up a new Worddocument. • Click File Save • Go to your H:Drive • Click on your new Book Trailer Projectfolder • Title it Attributions • Click Save

  4. Save Photos & Attributions • Begin searching for your photos online • When you find the photo you like, • Savethe photo into Book Trailer Project • Before you go back to search for more pictures: • COPY & PASTE the link (web address) of the picture onto your Attributions page plus give it a description • Repeat these steps for every single photo you use.

  5. Create Trailer in PhotoStory • Using your storyboard that you drew and the pictures that you found online, you will put together each scene of your trailer • You will import pictures from your folder into PhotoStory, create motion, and add music • Open PhotoStory Click Begin New Story

  6. Something to keepin mind as you begin… • First slide needs to have: title of book, author, your name • Last slides need to have: all your attributions Copy & PASTED • The * in the boxes on the backmatch the steps in PhotoStory

  7. *Import and arrange your pictures • Click Import Pictures and go into yourBook Trailer Project folder to import all of your pictures • Rearrange the order of your pictures by clicking and dragging • Use your storyboard to keep your trailer organized…but of course, you may also make changes if necessary • If you need a blank background for your words,go to my teacher website • You may edit/crop your slides here if you want • Click Next

  8. *Add a title to your pictures • If you need to add text to a slide/picture, then you may do so here • Let’s SAVE our work now: • Click Save Project • Go into your H:Drive • Click your Book Trailer folder • Title this Book Trailer PhotoStory • Click Save • Click Next

  9. *Narrate your pictures and customize motion • Click Customize Motion • There are two tabs at the top of the new window: Motion and Duration - Transition • Within these two tabs, you can change the motion, duration, and transition of each slide • Click Preview if you want to see what it looks like • Use the arrows at the bottom to change slides • Click Save  Close when you are done • Click Save Project  Next

  10. *Add background music You have two options: • Select Music…you can add your own music from a CD or saved in a USB • Create Music…this will give you lots of sound effect options • Click Save Project  Next

  11. *Save your story • Here, you will save your PROJECT into a MOVIEBefore doing so, check through the rubric to ensure that you have all of the requirements • Click on:Save your story for playback on your computer • Click Browse • Go to your Book Trailer Project folder and change the file name to your First/Last Name MOVIE • Click Save  Next

  12. YOU’RE DONE! • The movie should be saved in your folder now and is ready for viewing • Raise your hand and let me know so that I can save your movie into my flash drive
