Why a QUALITY AUDIT? • Children deserve the best quality. • Quality audits help you take care of both quality and safety. • Your brand maybe doing your quality checks, but they are still internal checks. • A parent trusts a third party certification. • A quality check from ECA helps you identify hidden loop holes if any.

  3. How will it help me? • Parents have immense faith in ECA. • When a parent sees the ECA Quality Audit certificate displayed at your center it definitely gives them more trust and it positively impacts enrolments. • Your school/daycare name and logo will be displayed on ECA website- Quality Audited Schools section. Parents visit this section as we have tied up with India’s largest Facebook Mothers and parents group.

  4. But what if my competitor also has an ECA Audit certificate? • Then it is all the more reason for you to get one done because your competitor then has an edge on you. • A third party check and validation is always beneficial to an early childhood center, both a preschool and a daycare.

  5. Is it only for standalone preschools? • No. • The ECA Quality Audit can be done by the following- • Standalone preschools • Standalone preschools with daycares • Standalone daycares • Corporate daycares • Branded preschool chains • Branded preschool and daycare chains • Branded daycare chains • Preschools connected to High School. • Preschools that are a part of a High School.

  6. What are the steps involved? • Pay the fee (check our website or write to us or if your brand is getting it done then there will be a special price for you) • ECA will send you the self audit details. • Conduct your self audit and once completed, inform us to come for an audit. • Our audit is based on the self audit parameters. • If quality and safety are found to be 80% as per parameters we give you the ECA certification. • If found below 80% then we will give you time and training to get to 80% and come again for an audit. • For point 6 there is no extra cost to be paid. • You get an ECA Audit certificate that you can frame and display prominently at the your center reception and website and Facebook. • Do ensure that you highlight it during your prospective inquiry tours.

The Early Childhood Association Quality Audit of centers focuses on the following areas- • Program’s Philosophy • Learning Environment • Curriculum • Climate • Teaching Practices • Facilities, Materials, and Equipment • Community Cooperation, Collaboration and Financial Support • Health, Nutrition and Safety • Staffing and Professional Development • Involving Families • Child Assessment and Program Evaluation

  8. What about confidentiality? • Early Childhood Association is a committed non profit professional association and confidentiality is guaranteed. • For brands that need us to sign any confidentiality document, we do that too.

  9. Can we choose the date of the audit? • Yes you can give us 3 dates and we will come on any of the 3 dates. • We will not inform you which of the 3 dates.

  10. Can we choose the person that comes for our audit? • No. That is not possible

  11. What if I am not happy with the audit and want a reaudit? • Your can write about this concern to us and we will look into the same and sort out the next step.

  12. How many days after the audit will I get my certificate? • The process takes 20 days and post that you will receive a framed copy of the certificate by courier. • Or if your brand has applied for the same then the HO of your brand will receive the same.

  13. What is the cost of the Quality Audit? • The cost per center is 6000 rupees. • If you are part of a brand then we do have group quality audit terms with the brand and the cost will then be decreased. • Some brands also share the cost with their franchises.

  14. How long is an audit valid? • For standalone centers that get themselves audited it is valid for 3 years. • After 3 years you can get your audit updated by paying a nominal cost of 500 rupees and get it validated for another 2 years. • If your brand has got the center audited by ECA then the terms will differ from brand to brand based on what was confirmed with the brand.

  15. What are the other audits that ECA conducts? • We have the following audits- • Curriculum Audits for preschools, daycares and teacher training programs • Curriculum Audits for after school programs. • Product Audits (games, kits) • Book Audit • App Audit

  16. What is the cost of the other Audits of ECA? • For book- 15,000 • For a book-kit- 25,000 • For a board game- 15,000 • For a curriculum- 25,000- 40,000 • For an app- 30,000- 50,000 • For any other category- like a brand or teacher training program or preschool- will range between 50,000 to 1,00,000 based on your product.

  17. What is the difference between a center quality audit and getting a program or curriculum audit? • A center quality audit checks all the parameters at the center including the following- • Staff quality. • Safety • Program implementation quality • Curriculum quality • Parent partnership • Overall quality of the program for children. • Whereas a program or curriculum /brand audit will only state that your program or curriculum meets the standards of practice and your certificate will state Training Program/Curriculum certified by ECA.

  18. Process for product/curriculum Audit • Once your form and fees are received, ECA will take 30 days to review your product, test it and send you a report. • If ECA finds your product to be meeting all quality parameters defined then it will send you a certificate which you can display on your website and can use ECA logo on your product. This logo will be designed and sent by us. • This logo can be used for the lifetime of the product if it is a book, book kit or board game and curriculum. • When you upgrade or revise your product then you have to get it reviewed again to keep using the ECA logo. Revision charges will vary based on changes in the product. • For an app, or a brand that wishes to get itself accredited with ECA the logo permission for use will be mutually decided between both parties. • If your product is found to be lacking on any quality parameter then a report stating the points will be sent to you and you can either make the changes and resend for our accreditation. If found valid then we will issue a certificate. • If you want to feature any board member of ECA in your ads or brochures then the cost will depend on the product and mutual agreed terms.
