  4. It doesn’t matter how sinful the priest is. The Sacrament is guaranteed by God, because Jesus himself makes it happen when His own words are spoken by the Church. God is worshipped We are made right with God The Eucharist repeats the sacrifice and worship of Jesus. • Copy the diagram, using your own version of the pictures. • Why is re-doing Jesus’ offering (iecelebrating the Eucharist) the best thing the Church can do ? (3 things – read the box) • **Does it make a difference how holy or sinful the priest himself is ? • 3. Add pictures for the 3 effects of celebrating the Eucharist. Jesus stands before God, as a sacrifice pleasing to God. This makes us right with God, and offers God the best kind of worship (because he offers to God His own obedient, thankful and holy life). ALSO: in sacrificing himself, Jesus’ sacrifice benefits us: he offers himself for our consumption, (in the form of bread and wine) so we can share His eternal life. We are fed with God’s life
