  1. Excerpt of raw copy from company In 2005, Scott Finnell began to run his first ultramarathon. As he began the 70 mile race, he would have never guessed that 5 years later he would have completed eight hundred mile events and arguably one of the best known races in the world, the 135 mile Badwater Ultra Marathon. His running partner, Jeff Gleason (VP of Customer Service for Thermo Fisher Scientific), had ran the Badwaterultramarathon last year in 36 hours and 20 minutes. Excerpt of my rewrite It took six months of training to prepare for and nearly two full days to run. Along the way, Pressley Ridge CEO Scott Finnell endured searing heat, excruciating stomach and leg cramps, countless blisters, and exhaustion so severe he could barely open his eyes. But after an agonizing 40 hours and 50 minutes,Finnellcompleted the 135-mile BadwaterUltramarathon – an event so rigorous it is billed as “the world’s toughest foot race”.
