  1. Move THIS Mountain Changing your Inner Landscape

  2. Speak to Your Mountain Mark 11:22-24 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly f I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

  3. Jesus Cleanses the Temple Mark 11:15-18 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’”

  4. Jesus Cleanses the Temple The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. • Caiaphas: appointed by Roman governor • Political, not spiritual • Profiting, not serving • Oppressing, not supporting

  5. Faith in God Mark 11:22-24 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.

  6. Sacrificial System of Righteousness • “This mountain” must be the First mountain to move! • Psalm 66:18, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” • System of sacrifices to Cover Sin so prayer can be heard. (Leviticus) • Hab 1:13 “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing…” • A New System of ONE Sacrifice for ALL sin has arrived!

  7. New Kind of Righteousness • Romans 1:16,17 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” • 2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” • Philippians 3: “and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in a Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.”

  8. “Base & Basics” Hebrews 5:13 “Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.” 4 Qualities of God’s Righteousness

  9. 1. Legal Righteousness Romans 4:23-25 “Now the words “it was credited to him” were written not only for Abraham, but also for us, to whom righteousness will be credited— for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification!” • Not a “Jail Break” • Highest Judge of the Highest Court Declared “Justified”!

  10. 2. Free Gift Romans 5:17 Again, the gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought condemnation, but the gift that followed many trespasses brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.… • Cannot Grow in a Gift • Greater than “Forgiven” • “Expunged”

  11. 3. Master of Sin Hebrews 10:22 “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience” • Removes all sense of guilt & shame & breaks the cycle of sin! Romans 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, a that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin…. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus…. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

  12. 4. Fruits of Righteousness • Isaiah 32:17 “The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.” • Romans 8:33,34 “Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” • Proverbs 28:1 “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

  13. Fruits of Righteousness • James 5:16 “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” • 1 John 3:20,21 “If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God!”
