  4. The “Mound Builders” lived in what is today the Eastern Half of the United States and southern Canada. Their civilization lasted from 1000 BC to 1600 AD

  5. Some mounds were as large as the Egyptian Pyramids • Temples and homes to their leaders were located at the very top of the mound
