Please listen attentively, honor your computer, and focus on our curriculum free from distractions. Arrive on time, bring necessary materials, and communicate any needs or absences. Participate actively and assist your classmates, ensuring a positive environment. Remember that timely submission of work is crucial for grading. I am committed to respecting your abilities and fostering creativity, while also maintaining a supportive classroom atmosphere.

  1. 8th Grade ComputerClass Expectations What you need to do to be successful and to keep me happy!!

  2. BE RESPECTFUL • LISTEN: “Eyes and Ears Up Here!!” • HONOR thy computer • FOCUS on the curriculum, which will not include Facebook, youtube, inappropriate websites, etc. • COMMUNICATE with me about absences and other needs

  3. BE RESPONSIBLE • Get to class on time • Bring materials every day—pen/pencil, folder, handouts, etc. • Ask for make-up work in a timely manner and complete it in a timely manner. • Report any computer problems to me immediately. • Get started as soon as you walk in the door.

  4. BE CARING • Assist classmates whenever possible—share what you know!! • Clean up after yourself—leave your area cleaner than you found it. • Compliment each other and be positive.

  5. GRADING • Weekly participation—5points for getting started and staying on task • Projects will range from 10 to 25 points • Full credit will be given when project is received UNLESS it is more than one week late; then partial credit will be given • If you leave early for a school activity, you are expected to complete work before the next class period

  6. And From Me . . . • I will RESPECT your abilities and allow you the freedom to be creative. • I will be RESPONSIBLE by being prepared for class each day. I will be RESPONSIBLE by grading your assignments in a timely manner. • I will be CARING by staying positive, by encouraging you to do your best, and by maintaining a positive classroom environment.
