The FADC system is currently stable with a duty cycle of 99%. It has been successfully passed to the shifters, and all relevant documentation is available at bxweb. Recent data reprocessing and validation have enabled effective merging with the Echidna system. Tests are ongoing, and the FADC system now operates with minimal shifter oversight. A merging standalone program has been developed to integrate FADC events into the Echidna format. Upcoming workshops will train participants on FADC data, focusing on CNO/pep tasks, as well as GRB analysis led by Maria Toropova.

General status • DAQ is stable, duty cycle since last GM 99% • FADC system has been passed to shifter’s hands (Egor, Marcin, Chiara and myself) • Everything related to FADC for shifters has been documented and available at bxweb • FADC data were reprocessed in cycle_16 in MSU and revalidated in order to make merging possible • FADC-Echidna merging done (Egor) • Tests are in progress (Egor, Francesco, Nicola) • Put in production chain soon
DAQ shift procedure extended • FADC system operates autonomously and requires minimal shifter’s attention • FADC run coincides with main one and started synchronously • Production is done within bx_production chain • 30 s cpu time @ 6 h. long run • It’s very important to check output logfile! • Data validation • Check text output • Check histograms
Data production Keyword errors mean data corruption ADC buffers overflow, just note if they were
Data validation FADC threshold
FADC data merging into bxtree • Standalone program for merging events from FADC rootfiles into Echidna rootfiles or DSTs was made and tested • Program correlates FADC events with Echidna ones based on BTB event number supplied to FADC hardware • If several FADC events are present for single Echidna event, FADC clusters and waveforms are merged into one event • In the merged bxtree FADC event is available via GetFwfd() method of BxEvent • Work is underway to put merging into production
FADC mini workshop in GS • Any day(s) within 27/05 – 05/06 in GS • Goal is to make people familiar with FADC data • Mainly with respect to CNO/pep task, but we can consider other items, if any • Everybody interested is welcome
GRBs and DSNB • Maria Toropova is finalizing GRB analysis with respect to electron neutrinos • In contact with Sandra. Somebody else interested in this analysis? • This task alone is not enough for a paper. • Diffuse SN background • Aldo started this work yet in 2010 with the conclusion that we could set the limit (antinues) within yet unexplored energy region (Super-K & SNO limits are within 20+ MeV) • Time to revive analysis? • DSNB+GRB paper looks stronger
