  2. Status Update • PhD position unfilled • Preliminary slip solutions (‘traditional’) for Sumatra II & IIIa (plus pre-existing Sumatra I soln) • Databases of locations for aftershocks of Sumatra 2 now exist

  3. The idea • Use of EGFs to produce solution for Sumatra II • Plus investigate other earthquakes • Integration of other geophysical data into inversions

  4. Needs • Geometry of subducting slab • Knowledge of upper plate structure
