  2. The History Of Southwest • 1966-The company was officially formed under the name Air southwest Co by Rollin King and Herb Kelleher. • 1967-Their first route was established, going from Houston , Dallas , and San Antonio. • 1976- The company was renamed to Southwest Airlines.

  3. Motivation for Employees • They use many tactics to motivate employees, due to different needs. • They believe in using extrinsic rewards with their employees. They love to tell employees how well they are doing.

  4. Motivation for Employees • They do not study their employees. They believe the best way to understand their employees is to simply ask them.

  5. Motivation for Employees • They believe in the goal setting theory, One way they reward their employees is in the holiday season, they will give time off if the goals are met. • They also believe that if the environment is fun, then the workers will be happy.
