  2. Miranda Cosgrove will be sponsoring this product because she has built a great reputation for herself and continues to be a great role-model for children.

  3. Promotional Event The event that will take place is a promotional even that will increase profits and interest in the Chia Pet product. This promotional event will include a gathering held by Nickelodeon for children and teens. At this event Chia Pet sales will be advertised by Nickelodeon and endorsed by Miranda Cosgrove who starred in iCarly. Chia Pets will be advertised through short films explaining the amazing outcome in which the plant, chia, sprouts within a couple of weeks and resembles a number of things but specifically fur. Children and teens will be intrigued by this product and this event will substantially increase sales.

  4. Target Audience With this event hosted by Nickelodeon we are specifically target marketing children around the ages 6-12 world wide. With the creative characters displayed by Chia Pet such as The Simpsons, Shrek, Spongebob, and other cartoon characters, children will be fascinated and will want to purchase this exciting item that provides both entertainment and serves and educational purpose. At this event Nickelodeon will provide entertainment such as arcade games and snacks.

Questions… • Where/when is your event taking place? - This event will be taking place during the month of June around the 15th because this month is ideal for the plant’s (Chia Pet) growth which will encourage sales. The event will take place in a local arcade building that includes games and refreshments. • If your event was going to be aired on tv, what channel and time would it be on (consider your target market)? - If this event were to be aired the best and most appropriate time to present it would be during the summer months because children will have a greater chance of viewing it (due to the summer break) • What experience might your celebrity have had with the product? - Miranda Cosgrove seems like she would enjoy the product, thus endorsing it would be facile which would lead to a more sales. • What are some of the features/benefits of the product? - The Chia Pet may seem like just a plant but it offers some educational tools, children will learn just as much as they enjoy it.
