A few information about Le Cnam • Exists since more than 200 years (1794) • A public institution dedicated to lifelong training • Higher education, from Baccalauréat to PhD • Many specialities in : • economics and management, industrial sciences and techniques, information and communication, labor and society studies • 80 000 students each year • Courses and distance-learning programmes Cnam - DNF - Service Compétences et Validation

  5. Le Cnam and its experience • Since the beginning (1794), the Cnam is dedicated to adults training • Students’ experience is integrated in their trainings • It used to practice older (but more limited) validation formats, which existed before Cnam - DNF - Service Compétences et Validation

The process (1) • Register for VAE at Le Cnam (fees) • Fill in a specific file • With the help of a VAE advisor • Develop your personal port-folio • to identify and analyze your work situations and previous job activities • to define the competencies developed during your professional experience Cnam - DNF - Service Compétences et Validation

The process (2) • The port-folio shall present : • Professional activities, tasks and responsibilities, • How you did them • Problems faced in the job, problem solving skills developed, • Results achieved, • How the skills developed were reused in other situations.   13. The process (4) • 4 special VAE juries at the Cnam • Every six-month • Members : teachers and professionals • Candidate’s face to face with the jury Cnam - DNF - Service Compétences et Validation
