  8. Today • Design Color Wheel • Measure 2 scale strips • Paint Color Wheel • Tomorrow- Monochromatic and Intensity Scales

  9. Complete: • Color Wheel • Monochromatic scale – 1 color, tints and shades • Intensity scale- 2 colors opposite on color wheel • TURN this stuff in for a grade ASAP when all 3 are dry and finished. Staple. Worth 50 pts.

  10. Then…….Monochromatic Painting

  11. 3 ½ page sketches • Designs with organic and geometric shapes • Good composition • Fill the page, complex design but simple shapes (you have to paint it) • Positive/negative space • Overlap, change in size/scale

  12. WHITE PURE HUE BLACK TINTS= HUE + WHITE SHADES= HUE + BLACK

  13. Choose 1 color Tints shades

  14. Clean brushstrokes and good craftsmanship is a MUST!
