  2. WHAT IS A VEHICLE ? • A vehicles is a device that is designed or used to transport people or cargo. • Most often vehicles are manufactured.

THE EVOULTION OF VEHICLES • The first vehicle (automobile or car) was invented in 1885. • On June 28, 1926, Benz & Cie. and DMG finally merge as the Daimler-Benz company baptizing all of its automobiles, the 1902 Mercedes-35hp, along with the Benz name. 2011 Mercedes Benz Mercedes 35 hp - 1902

Continue……… • In 1958, Mercedes-Benz entered into a distribution agreement with the Studebaker-Packard Corporation of South Bend, Indiana (USA). • Between 1958 &1963, Mercedes-Benz maintained their office even when Studebaker’s U.S. operation cease. • Mercedes-Benz AMG became a majority owned division of Mercedes-Benz in 1998. • Objective measures looking at passenger vehicles - such as J. D. Power surveys, demonstrated a downturn in reputation in this criteria in the late 1990s and early 2000s, however, Mercedes-Benz had maintained a reputation for its quality and durability. • As of 2009, Consumer Reports of the United States has changed their reliability ratings for several Mercedes-Benz vehicles to "average", and are recommending the E-Class and the S-Class.

  5. Karl ( Carl ) Benz Karl Friedrich Benz, later Carl, (November 26, 1844 – April 4, 1929) born as Karl Friedrich Michael Vaillant, in Karlsruhe, Baden, which is part of modern Germany. When he was two years old, his father was killed in a railway accident and his name was changed to Karl Friedrich Benz in remembrance of his father.
