EVALUATION • 1)Skill of observation (during demonstration, excursions) • 2)Carrying out oral and written instructions. • 3)Participation in class discussions and activities. • 4)On their ability to draw neat pictures and label them. • 5)On their ability to ask questions and enthusiasm to learn more. • 6)Answering the worksheets according to the instructions given.

  16. Parents’ Cooperation EVS is more about exploring the world we live in. What is learnt at school can be reinforced at home. Parents can be involved in the learning process to help children understand and remember better.Some examples are: at home, at the beach, at the supermarket, park, exhibition, zoo etc.

  17. AT THE SUPERMARKET Different fruits and vegetables can be identified while at the supermarket.

  18. Values like- standing in the line at the cash counters , waiting for your turn and respecting elders can be emphasized. Community helpers like sales staff, packers, cleaners etc, can be identified.

  19. AT HOME Cleanliness is next to godliness Such values can be instilled by allowing your child to help out with the chores at home. Emphasize more on hygiene. Eating healthy food and saying no to junk food like candy, aerated drinks can be emphasized on.

  20. Encourage children to draw or collect pictures for home assignments using old magazines and newspapers. Reading books to the children and telling them stories through audio and visual aids. Eg- Discovery channel.
