Coloma Middle School has launched a summer program to keep students engaged and focused, preventing the "summer brain drain." Students can participate in a raffle for an iPod Shuffle by completing assignments through IXL.com or paper packets, each counting as one assignment. Reading from the Accelerated Reader list and passing quizzes in the fall also count. Additional options include journaling for extra credit, ensuring students maintain their skills in Mathematics and Language Arts. Incentives aim to keep all students motivated and ready for the school year.
