  3. PERSONAL INFORMATION • Top of resume • Name, address, phone #, email • Do not include: • age • religion • nationality • gender • photo • date of birth • health status • S.I.N. • salary expectations

  4. OBJECTIVE • Statement with very few words • Relates to the job for which you are applying • Why you are submitting your resume

  5. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • List personal qualities and transferable skills • Use bullet format

  6. WORK EXPERIENCE • List the jobs you’ve had (most recent first) • Employer’s name and address • Job title and duties • Dates (start and end) • Optional: special projects and achievements

  7. VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE • List volunteer work (most recent first) • Name and address of organization • Position title and duties • Dates (start and end)

  8. EDUCATION AND TRAINING • High school, college, university, trade school • Include cities and provinces • Years attended • Year graduated (or expected to graduate) • Courses taken • Training (CPR, WHIMIS, Bronze Medal, etc.) • Certificates, degrees, etc.

  9. AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS • Scholarships • Awards

  10. INTERESTS OR HOBBIES • List all things you enjoy doing in spare time • Show a range of activities
