  3. 21st Century Work Place • Demands higher levels of knowledge and applied skills like expert thinking and complex communication and less routine and manual thinking skills • Much of the work is done collaboratively in teams • Technology connects workers to a global community of resources (informational and human) • Requires an ability to curate a massive amount of information from a wide variety of sources • Ability to make connections between seemingly unrelated topics in innovative ways and the mental flexibility to come up with creative solutions is a huge asset
