  3. What’s Self-assembly Self-assembly : Self-assembly can be defined as the spontaneousorganization of molecular units into ordered structures by non-covalent interactions. Fujita, M. et al Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 2004, 43, 5621-5625

  4. Self-assembly on Two-dimensional Surface Self-Assembly Non-porous network Porous network application ·Pattern formation in few nanometer-scale ·Molecular electronics and data storage device The control of various kind of interaction is necessary.

  5. Intermolecular interaction-Hydrogen bond interaction- Hydrogen bond interaction (水素結合相互作用) Lackinger, M.; Griessl, S.; Heckl, W. M.; Hietschold, M.; Flynn, G. W.; Langmuir, 2005, 21, 4984.

  13. Conclusion • Self-assembly is the spontaneousorganization of molecular units into ordered structures by non-covalent interactions. • The control of 2D molecular self-assembly enable the fabrication of nanometer-scale molecular device. • The control of various kind of interaction is necessary in order to construct a complex molecular network. • 2D chirality can be evolve when objects are confined to two dimensions.
