Record is 53.32 seconds set by Pete’s Shandy Boyz (Weaver Wroot Certified Accountants) in 2002 • Sweepstake held for those who wish to participate – if all teams enter (£20.00 per team) there is £200.00 extra to the charity and £200.00 to the team with the winning ticket.

  5. The Circuit and the directions: At 1000 metres, Kartsport’s circuit is one of the longest in the UK. Combining straights up to 300 metres long, and every type of corner imaginable with a tarmac track surface, Kartsport is a fully drained circuit and thus provides an all weather capability. Racing is offered in twin engine Honda Pro-Karts Kartsport is located at Brandon, Grantham, Lincs alongside the A1, just 5 minutes from the Marston turning, and only a short taxi ride from Grantham or Newark train station.

  6. Important points: • All drivers must attend the briefing • Please wear trainers or similar flat soled shoes • Please ensure that you do not drink any alcohol before or • during the race meeting

Conditions: • Kartsport Ltd reserve the right to refuse admission to any • person to any circuit at which they are operating, and • furthermore reserve the right to cease providing racing or • instruction to any individual or group at any time, without giving • reason. Kartsport Ltd advise all clients that the consumption of • alcohol before and during race meetings is not permissible. • Kartsport Ltd will accept no responsibility for damage to or • loss of or theft of personal property. Users of the car parks • provided do so at their own risk.

The BHF is the leading heart health charity in the UK fighting the UK’s biggest killer through heart research, patient care and education • More than 270,000 heart attacks occur every year, and of these patients, about 43% die within 28 days of their heart attack. Of these deaths about 75% occur within 24 hours. The outcome for many patients can also mean long term cardiac illness – about 1.5 million people in the UK have angina and 760,000 people have heart failure

The aim of the BHF is to play a leading role in the fight against heart disease so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death. • To allow the BHF do save and improve lives they need donations to continue their work. Since 1961 the BHF has been behind almost every significant success in the fight against heart disease • The BHF funds are channelled into four main areas:- • Research – Centres of excellence created in universities and hospitals across the UK. These are headed by BHF Professors. At any one time 1,200 research projects are undertaken across the UK looking into areas ranging from high blood pressure, pacemakers and artificial heart valves, preventing blood clots and treating defects in the hearts of unborn babies and improving bypass surgery

The BHF funds are channelled into four main areas continued… • Education and Information – The promotion of the importance of a health lifestyle to the public, health professionals and heart patients.
