1. Background of the Seoul Declaration 2. Objectives of the Seoul Declaration 1. Background and Objectives 1. To create a new turning point for OSH 2. To reduce work-related deaths, injuries, and ill-health 3. To promote close cooperation in the global OSH community 4. To raise global OSH awareness and enhance a sense of responsibility 1. To devise a comprehensive declaration including OSH policies & measures 2. To lay the groundwork for common goals and responsibility 3. To share and realize a vision of safe & healthy work environments 4. To define & promote OSH for each tripartite 2

Conclusion • The Seoul Declaration is the world’s first OSH global charter • Cooperation with the global OSH community • Accident Prevention Culture and Promotion Activities • Joint efforts by the tripartite parties and OSH organizations are needed • to promote the Seoul Declaration • Close cooperation among the initiators for the Seoul Declaration • (ILO,ISSA and KOSHA) is crucial to pursue the objectives into practice 9
