  1. Music Moods • Music allows us to experience many different moods whether we are performing or listening • It may be instrumental or vocal

  3. Expressions of Joy • “Happy Face” – use of lyrics to express joy • “Come On-A My House” – use of syncopation

  8. Calm (Soothing) • Purpose is to soothe and relax the listener • May be to promote peace • “Peace in this House” – bring people together peacefully • “Peaceful World” – promote peace and unity
