  1. Luke 7:6, 12 ESV 6 “Do not give dogs what is holy, & do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot & turn to attack you . . . 12 So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law & the Prophets.”

  2. Mark 10:42-43 ESV 42 And Jesus called them to him & said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, & . . . exercise authority over them. 43 But it shall not be so among you.

  3. Mark 10:43-45 ESV But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 44 & whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, & to give his life as a ransom for many.”

And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples & a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar . . . was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out & say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

  5. Mark 10:48-49 ESV 48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 And Jesus stopped & said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”

  6. Mark 10:50-51 ESV 50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up & came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?”

  7. Mark 10:51-52 ESV And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight & followed him on the way.

  8. Jesus often met a felt need in order to meetthe greatest need.

  9. To discover someone’s felt needs, you actually haveto listen to them.

  10. Engage people to findout where you can dig“Gospel wells”
