  1. Henry VIII’s Six Sorry Wives There are six wives of Henry VIII. Catherine of Aragon is the first, Anne Boleyn the second, Jane Seymour is the third, Anne of Cleves is the fourth, Kathryn Howard is the fifth and Catherine Parr is the last wife.

  2. Catherine of Aragon Catherine is Henry VIII’s first wife. She had a child named Mary I of England. She had step children named Edward VI and Elizabeth I. She was the Spanish Princess. She lived for twenty four years. She got married on June 11th 1509 at Greyfriars. She lived for 24 years. She died of a broken heart because Henry fell in love with Anne Boleyn. Catherine was born in Spain. When there was war in Spain, she was sent to England. Before she married Henry, she married King Arthur. She married Henry when Henry was 17 years old. Henry divorced Catherine.

  3. Anne Boleyn Jane was lady-in-waiting to Anne. Anne and Henry wrote love letters. She slowly poisoned Catherine of Aragon. She used witchcraft on her uncle. She and Kathryn Howard were cousins. She was executed in 1536. She was young, pretty and witty. Henry loved Anne whilst still marred to Catherine of Aragon. They were married 3 years.

  4. Jane Seymour Jane Seymour is Henry’s third wife. Henry loved Jane, and Jane gave birth to Edward VI. She was a stepmother to Elizabeth I and Mary I. She died of giving birth. She died 2 weeks after Edward was born. She died on 1537. One day after Anne was executed, Henry married Jane. Henry was buried next to Jane. Also, Henry made Jane’s grave. He wanted to be close to her because he loved her. They were married for one year. Henry really cared for Jane. She had a special coronation. Henry mourned by wearing black for three months, and did not marry for three years. Jane had a park named after her, it was called Park Seymour in Wales.

  5. Anne of Cleves Anne is Henry’s fourth wife. She looked good on a portrait and Henry sent his soldiers to get Anne. When she came, she looked like a horse! Henry had to marry Anne. They married January 1540. They divorced July 1540. Anne was born in Germany, her marriage was linked England and Germany. She could not speak English. She liked playing cards.

  6. Kathryn Howard Kathryn Howard is Henry’s fifth wife. She is Anne Boleyn’s cousin. She was beheaded in the Tower of London. Kathryn Howard was the daughter of Lord Edmund Howard, she had a younger brother named Thomas Howard. She was accused of adultery.

  7. Catherine Parr Catherine Parr is Henry’s last wife. Before Henry died he gave Catherine an allowance of £7000 per year for Catherine to support herself. She married 5 times. When Catherine was about to give birth she died. She enjoyed a close relationship to Henry’s children.
