This text explores the essential interactions among organisms, focusing on competition as they fight for resources such as space, food, water, shelter, and sunlight. It defines the predator-prey relationship, where the predator hunts and consumes the prey, and discusses the adaptations that both predators and prey develop for survival. Predators must evolve effective methods for catching their prey, while prey species use strategies like camouflage, group living, or fleeing to avoid predation. Understanding these dynamics is vital for grasping ecological balance.
