  1. Directions • AFTER you have read the RULES for other uses of commas AND completed Exercises 7 and 8, work with your partner to check each sentence. If you do not get the correct answer for a sentence, go back and REREAD the RULES to understand how to get the correct answer.

  3. Exercise 7 • 1. Do you know, Todd, what Chico Mendes did for Brazil’s rain forest?

  4. Exercise 7 • 2. He proposed that land be set aside by the government for the rubber tapper’s use, I believe.
