  2. Do You Believe All Students Can Learn? During the last year, how has your perception of this belief changed? What have you done during the last year to reflect this belief? 3

  8. District Goals 2010-2011 -increase the percentage of special education students meeting the benchmarks in reading, math and writing. RTI sub goal -100% of elementary referrals for LD eligibility in reading will be completed using RTI Strategy- Teaming (Benchmark, GrIP, Grade Level Meetings, Individual Student Meetings, PLCs) 9

  9. Four Critical Questions of Learning • What is it we expect all students to learn? • How will we know if they’ve learned it? • How will we respond when some students don’t learn it? • How will we respond when they already know? 10

  10. MTI???? RTI???? MTI- designing learning opportunities (in response to data) to meet the needs of all students when they need it. RTI- process for determining whether or not a student is eligible for special education as learning disabled. Can you do MTI without RTI? Or RTI without MTI? 11
