  5. iTunes • To understand the iPod you must first know about iTunes. • Application developed by Jeff Robbin and Bill Kincaid in 1999 its original name was SoundJam MP. • Apple purchased application in 2000. • Released as iTunes in January 2001. • Began iPod Support in version 2.0 in November 2001.
