  2. The wider objective of the project EQADE is: Promotion and support to development of state of art doctoral education at public universities in BiH in line with Bologna Process. Wider objective

  3. The 3 specific objectives of the project EQADE are: • Integration and more efficient management of doctoral education at 8 public BiH universities by the end of 2013; • 2. Formulation and adoption of Quality Standards in Doctoral Education at university and state level by the end of 2013; • 3. Development of one doctoral program per university (8 pilot projects) aligned with adopted procedures and quality standards by the end of 2014. WP1 (DEV) - Development of university capacities for quality doctoral education • 1.1 Units for Doctoral Education opened and equipped • 1.2 Units for Doctoral Education staffed • 1.3 University staff trained on Salzburg Principles • 1.4 University staff trained on PhD promotion tools • 1.5 Artificial Business Intelligence (ABI) procured Project outputs and outcomes – WP.1.

WP2 (DEV) - Establishment of preconditions for quality PhD education and research • 2.1 Analysis report on EU PhD education and research • 2.2 Evaluation reports on BiH PhD education • 2.3 University Road-maps defined • 2.4 University Road-maps reviewed by EU peers • 2.5 HEI stakeholders trained on Roadmap implementation Project outputs and outcomes – WP.2.

WP3 (DEV) - Formulation of Quality Standards in Doctoral Education • 3.1 University staff trained on QA in PhD • 3.2 Quality standards in PhD determined & defined • 3.3 HEI staff trained on internal QA in PhD • 3.4 HEA's assessors trained on evaluation content • 3.5 HEA's assessors trained on evaluation methodology Project outputs and outcomes – WP.3.

WP4 (DEV) – Development of 8 new PhD programs in BiH (8 pilot projects) • 4.1 PhD programs and task forces identified • 4.2 PhD Task forces trained at EU partner HEIs • 4.3 8 PhD programs developed and (re)structured • 4.4 External evaluation reports for 8 PhD programs Project outputs and outcomes – WP.4.

  8. WP5 (QPLN) – Monitoring and Quality Control • 5.1 Evaluation feedback from participants • 5.2 Internal quality control protocol • 5.3 Annual quality expert reports Project outputs and outcomes – WP.5.

  12. 1. 8 fully operative integrated and institutionally accepted Units for Doctoral Education; Trained University staff (24 employees); rational and efficient information system developed and operative. 2. Institutionally developed and internationally reviewed University Roadmaps for the restructuring and more efficient management of PhD education in line with Salzburg Principles. 3. Improved management of PhD education across BiH public (and private) HEIs; enhanced quality of doctoral education, HEA’s experts well-prepared for external evaluation of doctoral education in BiH. 4. 8 new doctoral programs prepared and adopted by respective University Senates; positive external program evaluation findings Expected results Expected results

Quality and timely information on project progress, and internal project QA, enabling proactive task management and coordination of activities to the aim of achieving project objectives and indicators. 6. Wide-spread knowledge and acceptance of university/ BiH quality standards and procedures in managing and providing doctoral education. 7. Trained university staff providing administrative support to efficient management of doctoral education; Adoption of quality standards and procedures at 8 BiH universities and the level of BiH; 8 proposals for new doctoral programs adopted by respective university Senates (as new program development methodology) and approved by HEA 8. Efficient and effective implementation of the project, in line with proposed objectives and activities Expected results
