CPG 1SUSTAIN / IMPROVE • SUSTAIN • Academic reviews immediately prior to each CAP session • IMPROVE • Prepare / Provide glossary and acronym list to be handed out before starting the conference • Make CPGs smaller to reduce noise level and maximize participation by all delegates (create a fourth CPG) • Consider providing a facilitator/mentor to each CPG

CPG 1 WORKSHOP DESIGN COMMENTS • Is the schedule a good template for future workshops? • Need more time for CPG planning sessions • “Kick start” mission analysis with product already partially completed • Is the balance between work and cultural interaction about right? • Excellent balance; perhaps ENDEX social event? • Are the CAP academics beneficial? • MNF SOP workshop participants missed out • Were the subject matter briefs beneficial? • Need more emphasis on PK, less on HA

CPG 2SUSTAIN / IMPROVE • SUSTAIN • Social event and Dinner were extremely valuable for team building • COA comparison final process • IMPROVE • Consider rethinking the conference focus (Training or Teambuilding) • Have COA leads fully develop COA before conference and guide the group through the process (have canned solution to keep process moving) • Prepare Staff Estimates ahead of time

CPG 2WORKSHOP DESIGN COMMENTS • Is the schedule for MPAT TE-4 a good template for future workshops? • IPB prepared staff estimate needs to be promulgated in more detail • Is the balance between work and cultural interaction about right? • Outstanding. • Are the CAP academics beneficial? • Varied answers – repetitive – possibly OK; • Baseline of operational terms, processes, etc needs to be established and all need to be aware – battle book?; • All need to participate in first week training; • DJTFAC did an outstanding job. • Were the subject matter briefs (ICRC, NGO’s etc) beneficial? • Additional briefs from those who “have been there” – mil/civ • Clear objectives to SME’s so briefs are relevant

CPG 3SUSTAIN / IMPROVE • SUSTAIN • NGO, COE, UN, Retired Service member participation – great value • Keep Tempest Express focused on planning • IMPROVE • Integrate MPAT into an execution exercise so that the MPAT planners can see the total process • Add a media panel as part of academics so that MPAT planners can get to know and understand the media’s roles and point of view similar to what was done with NGOs, UN etc…
