  5. Program Goals Goals: 1.) Generate enthusiasm among students and families for science and technology 2.) Give families the chance to explore hands-on science activities together

Overview • NC Science Festival will provide curriculum, problem solve and provide evaluation data • We ask that make use of as much of the materials you can for a fun science event for your school community • We may contact you for a visit if our staff are in your area • After your science night, we will email you to complete a brief survey

  9. Making Your Event Unique • Examples of unique events: • Have middle or high school students host for elementary students • Take the activities back to the classroom • Ask a parent with a science career to do a presentation • Go crazy with one activity you really like

  10. Activity Advice Each activity has color-coded # that matches kit materials Great info for your facilitator! Includes everyday items you need to provide Some have suggestions for integrating into classroom; others feature NC connections

  11. Activity Advice When in doubt, look for the number! Most activities have table cards with instructions to help your facilitators and attendees
