  2. Land • They lived on the ice or on the tundra. • When they live on tundra they lived in teepee • When they lived on the ice they lived in igloos.

  3. Animals • There are caribou, fox, oxen, hare, different kinds of birds. • There are also whales and seals.

  4. Clothing • Inuit wear many layers of clothing. • One layer with the fur inside and one layer with the fur out. • Small children stay in mothers big hood.

  5. Food • Inuiteat seal, caribou, fish, musk oxen, beluga whales, walrus, narwhales.

  6. Work • Men fish and hunt, woman do all the cleaning and cooking.

  7. houses • In the summer they make teepee using animal skins on top of wooden poles. • In the winter they build a igloo out of snow.

  8. Tools • Most tools that the Inuit used were made out of parts of animals; like bone, ivory, antlers, teeth and horns.

  9. Transportation • During the winter they traveled by foot or dog sled. • During the summer they traveled by boat or foot.

  10. Climate • In the arctic it is very cold in the winter. • It is cool in the summer.

  11. Plants in the summer when it is cool plants can grow, like the tundra flower.
