  3. Shruti • Goals • Development of library support system • Website giving out information on reading material available in Braille, audio, large print and electronic text • Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu • Development of reading material

  4. Work Done • A website set up • Motivated to ministry of social justice to set up the website • Provides information on reading materials • Mentions that it has been assured funding for next 3 years!!

  5. Proposed Work • Convert audio books to DTBs • Approached National Institute for the Visually-Handicapped (NIVH) for a program to convert its Hindi audio books on cassettes

  7. Questions • Complimentary to NAB? • Source? • Who owns the material? • Cant NIVH pay for conversion • Number of books? • 150-200: Adequate? • How many people have access to DTB players? • Cost – 250$ • Website not reachable!!
