  4. MY Favorite Thing About Alabama! Hi!, my name is Samantha and here’s what my favorite thing about Alabama You know how some people like going to Fort Rucker. We I’ll tell you what! Here’s what I think! I think that they like going to Fort Rucker because they like going to the museum And seeing all the Helicopters! So that’s my report on what my favorite thing about Alabama is Bye!!!

  5. Hi ,my name is Samantha and I am doing a one page report on Alabama. Alabama has many places that you can Visit at! There are resturants,gasstations,and shopping stores! Most importantly don’t forget to have lots of fun when you go to fun places!!!!!!!!! To some kids, they like playing around and everything. That’s my report!!! BYE!!!!!

  6. Cherokee Indians Cherokee diet: the Cherokee ate mainly corn ,beans and squash ,[the three sisters],which were grown in their fields. They made corn into flat breads like tacos and tortillas and made beans into stew and soups. Meat was a main part of the diet including deer, rabbits,birds ,fish,ducks and shellfish. The cherokee women gathered berries, greens, and nuts such as hictory,walnuts and pecans.

  7. FAMOUS ALABAMIAN GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER George Washington Carver was born prior to the end of the Civil War in Missouri and spent his early years in Missouri. In his 40 plus years working and teaching at Tuskegee University, e discovered more than 300 uses for peanuts,soybeans,pecans and sweet potatoes. Most of his research showed farmers alternate uses for crops other than cotton. His peanut research led to products for cosmetics,alternate fuel products,rubber products, fertilizers,and many. H died on Januart 5,1942 at age 78 and was buried at Tuskegee University next to Booker T. Washington. h H

  9. Alabama State Flag The Alabama State Flag was authorized by the Alabama Legisture on February 16,1895. The State flag is a crimson cross of St. Andrew on a field of white. The bars forming the cross are no less than 6 inches broad and extend diagonal across the flag from side to side.

Alabama State Freshwater Fish{Microterussalmoides Largemouth bass feed on other fish and large invertibrates such as crayfish and smaller bass.

Bentley November,2010-November 2014 Governor Robert Bentley has been elected co-chairman of the Appalachian Regional Commission[ARC] by governors of the 13 states that makeup the ARC. The commission was created by Congress in 1965 to improve the quality and promote economic develop in the Appalachian mountain region.

Alabama Happenings A Dothan man was arrested Thursday night and charged with multiple counts of kidnapping and robbery. 12/31/12 2:50 pm A friday afternoon bank robbery in Dothan prompted a high-speed chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies that ended with the suspect crashing in Bay County,Fl.,near Compass Lake. Ozark police arrested a teenager less than half an hour after a reported robbery of a Dollar General Store Friday night. Dothan police arrest a Sam’s Club employee in an internal theft case. Gov. Robert Bentley has ordered state departments and agencies to reduce their energy consumption by 30 percent from 2005 levels,hoping to save the state $5.4 million in utility expenses.
