  4. How does this apply to me? • Most of us are experienced or “seasoned” IH/Safety Professionals • Our expertise is technical • We all know our field is changing • Time and money for meetings is an issue • There are less of us to do the same or more • Why is this important to me?

  6. Volunteering for the Local Section • How do we get more volunteers? • Embracing leadership – move the mission forward by using others to help • Learn to invite people • Find out what people are good at • Explain the values of joining • Make it “fun” – appreciate those who help

  9. Our Local Section…IDEAS? • What’s the plan? • Have good meetings and speakers • Provide network opportunities • Partnering – other local groups • Better distribution of workload • Consider the use of social media, teleweb, students, new ideas, etc. • Getting more members involved!
