Google Global Cache Experiment: Download YouTube Videos, Compare Speeds, and Save Data Locally

Create and run a real experiment in 50 lines of code, 15 lines of configuration files, and 20 minutes from your desktop! Test the Google Global Cache, scrape the YouTube favorites page, download videos from multiple sites, compare download speeds, and save data to files on your experiment nodes. Use the GEE File System to read the saved data on your desktop or vice versa. Explore “NFS over the wide area,” GEE Reverse Proxy, and multiplex incoming HTTP requests at the app level. Integration with VTS for hosting outward-facing services on your node is coming soon.
