Unconnected Anode wires

Unconnected Anode wires. It was found that in some cases unconnected Anode wires escaped our QA procedure. All chambers will be retested (in advanced progress) and will be repaired if in need. So far 17 finished chambers were identified to have this problem and will be reopened.

  1. Unconnected Anode wires • It was found that in some cases unconnected Anode wires escaped our QA procedure. • All chambers will be retested (in advanced progress) and will be repaired if in need. • So far 17 finished chambers were identified to have this problem and will be reopened.

Background info für Hannes • Dass die unconnected wires beim test (wie vormals durchgeführt) nicht deutlich auftauchen hängt höchstwahrscheinlich mit dem leicht leitfähigen (d.h. ~GOhm Widerstände) Kleber zusammen, den wir seit Anfang letzten Jahrens verwendet haben. Ältere Kammern sollten nicht betroffen sein. Bisher waren fast alle Fälle an der GSI, da die dort den Kontakt nicht nochmal nach dem verkleben von allem getested haben, was sonst überall gemacht wurde. Ansonsten sind bisher 2 Dubna Kammern mit dem Problem gefunden worden. In Heidelberg wurden 2 getape Kammern mit dem Problem gefunden, wobei eine einen zu lockeren, ersetzen Anodendraht hatte (nachdem der erste keinen Kontakt hatte), was im Scan ähnlich aussieht. Bisher wurden keine geklebten Kammern mit unkontaktierten Anodendrähten gefunden. In Bucharest scheinen alle Kammern OK zu sein.

  3. Production Status • Listed: last steps of chamber production • Expected to reach >270 completey finished chambers by Oktober

Further Production • All Material for 2nd part of detector is ordered, partially delivered. • Padplane production (signal cable soldering at Frankfurt University) has started. • Side profile production has started • Panels and Radiators are be delayed due to ordering delays at GSI (unexpected questions about the necessity of call for tenders) and long delivery times of raw materials. This will lead to a potential production stop at Bucharest and Heidelberg (~1 month). Other Labs should be OK.
