Newspaper Assignment

This newspaper assignment encourages collaborative writing and creative journalism. Groups of 7-9 students will work together to produce a comprehensive newspaper by the due date of May 24th. Each group is responsible for producing 3 news stories, 5 advertisements, 3 wanted ads, 1 Op-Ed piece, 3 obituaries, and various themed stories covering sports, entertainment, weather, arts/music, and fashion. Students will receive both a group and individual grade, emphasizing teamwork and personal contribution to the final product.
