  2. The Cards • After each student finishes a book, he or she fills out a "hand" of cards. Students are encouraged to be creative and make their cards look as realistic as possible. The cards are hung around the classroom to provide suggestions for other students' readings. Required Components: 1. Title 2. Author 3. Pages 4. Genre 5. Rating (out of 4 stars) 6. 3 Themes 7. One-paragraph review

Differentiation Teachers should: • Assess what students know • Determine Student interests • Determine student learning style and environmental preferences For Genre Game Board: • Genres in various reading levels • Genres in multiple interest categories • Knowledgeable assistance for student choices For Tic Tac Toe Board: • Allow choice for tic tac toe not necessarily three in a row • Allow for group/partner tic tac toe • Give verbal performance opportunities where applicable • Provide more scaffolded directions for tic tac toe projects • Steps clearly outlined • Multiple check points for on task and on schedule  For Book Review Card: • Allow for oral book review where applicable • Allow for “interview” style book review where applicable (teacher or other student interviews reader and completes the card based on answers provided)
