Spectro-Temporal Post-Smoothing in Nonnegative Matrix Factorization for Single-Channel Source Separation

This study presents a novel approach for single-channel source separation using nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF). We introduce spectro-temporal post-smoothing techniques to enhance the quality of separated audio signals. By applying advanced smoothing methods to the output of NMF, we aim to reduce artifacts and improve signal clarity. Our results demonstrate significant improvements in the separation quality, highlighting the effectiveness of integrating smoothing techniques in the source separation process.
