  1. Collaboration Portrait What kind of collaborator can I be? Who am I? What are my beliefs about education? Joe Krupp LS 5443-20 Assignment 1.2

  2. How often do you ask questions like this? What do Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Eleanor Roosevelt and Alec Guinness have in common with me? Hint: I’m the older, balder one…

  3. If you’re like a lot of people, probably not too often… But, who can blame you?

  4. Anyway, back to the question of what we have in common… We’re all… Counselor Idealists! Really? What does that mean?

  5. We have… Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging INFJ personalities

  6. I don’t know about the more famous INFJs, but I… enjoy helping people reach their potential and… work well with individuals & groups. Created at Wordle.net

  7. I also… listen well… and care about others’ feelings... not to mention my own!

  8. Writing is important to me, too… and I often feel like a pretty good language learner. Did you know Geoffrey Chaucer was an INFJ, too?

  9. His line about the clerk from the Prologue to the Canterbury Tales has stuck with me since I first encountered it in 1977… “and gladly wold he lerne, and gladly teche.” Whoa!!! I can relate to that! That sounds like an educational philosophy.

  10. If it sounds too good to be true, you’re right! It is too good to be true… Educational Philosophy: Learning is by, for and about people but…

  11. INFJs are Introverts who sometimes like to get away from crowds and just be by ourselves… This probably won’t help me when I collaborate.

  12. Another downside to collaboration… Working with and helping others might be enjoyable, but sometimes I have a high need for achievement. Uh-oh!!!!

  13. But back to the positives… Having power is not so important to me.  I tend to work quietly with individuals.

  14. An INFJ “Balancing Act” for Collaboration Affiliation and time for others vs. Time for me to pursue what I want, for myself and by myself.

  15. For collaboration & me, what’s the bottom line? Like other INFJs, I’m complex, but… I believe we can build relationships based on what we share as humans.

  16. I just may need a little break now and then…
