Success: You will be successful if you can add items that symbolize your person’s importance as you continue the drawing.

  3. Mughal Profile Portraits • Mughal Royalty were shown in profile. • Their place in the artwork shows how important they are. (center or top) • The people and things that are around the royals in their art also show importance and wealth.

  4. Symbols • A symbol is something that stands for something else. • A picture can be a symbol for a word: a shape can stand for the word heart. • A symbol can also stand for an idea: a shape can be the symbol for love.
