  2. Saint Louis Armstrong Beach Saint is an 11 year old boy who loves to play the clarinet. He plays for tourists in New Orleans with the neighborhood stray dog, Shadow, by his side. Saint is trying to earn enough money to buy a L-1020 Step-Up Pro clarinet that costs $1,200.

  3. MonaLisa MonaLisa’s nickname is Money. She is Saint’s next door neighbor and best friend but she stopped talking to him for a while after he told her mother about the party she had. After Money and Saint made up they made a plan to keep Shadow safe it Hurricane Katrina came to New Orleans.

  4. Jupi Jupi is one of Saint’s friends from his class. Jupi freaked Saint out when she read his palm and said that he had a short life line.
