Develop an open and collaborative directory of metadata standards for scientific data, benefiting researchers, data managers, scientists, tool developers, repositories, agencies, and societies. Achievements include implementation of the Metadata Standards Directory and policy development. Next steps include standardizing use cases, improving the directory, evaluating its effectiveness, and continuing policy coordination.
