APPLIED • Using methods of science to change or teach behaviors that are useful to the person and to society BEHAVIOR • What we say, do, think, or feel ANALYSIS • Using scientific methods (i.e., data-based decision making) to figure out whether what we’re doing is working, and what to do next

  7. Why do we analyze behaviors? • To figure out what the behavior gets or gets out of for the student • To determine what behaviors to teach • To determine motivators • To determine whether students are learning • To assess effects of our efforts
